Jolien Schukking

Before being elected Judge at the Court in respect of the Netherlands in 2017, Jolien Schukking has been working as a judge at the domestic level, at the Regional Court of Utrecht and Rotterdam in criminal and administrative cases, including refugee law, and at the Administrative High Court for Trade and Industry in The Hague. She also worked as an advocate at the international law firm Bird&Bird, assisting clients in lawsuits against governmental bodies, and as a senior legal adviser at the international law department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, one of my tasks being to represent the Dutch Government before the Strasbourg Court.
